COMPANY HISTORY

Threads in motion was established in 1989. Colleen Elston, designer and owner has committed to providing athletes, dancers, gymnasts and models with the highest quality custom designs to fit their individual personality and event requirements. As an instructor working largely with spandex blend fabrics, Colleen offers courses based on a curriculum of technique, patterning, fitting, fabric selection and design

Sewing from age 7

Graduated Sir Sandford Fleming College Home Economics- Fashion Option

Outfitted many of Canada’s top athletes in the sport of Baton for the past 16 years

Designed the swimwear for the last 3 years Miss Molson Indy winners and contestants

Achieved costume design recognition in Europe and across the United States as well as Canada

Her designs have won top awards at many levels of competition including world level dance and baton

Taught several students sewing and design techniques that have gone on to start their own businesses

Her custom gymnastics designs have not only met the high performance standards but are visually appealing
